Horatio, the big blue roo
Hamlet, the black roo (standing in front of Pooh)
Gertrude the black hen
Ophelia the blue hen
The ameraucanas are getting big! Still no eggs, but the boys are starting to dance for the girls. That's a good sign. Maybe a little blue egg will show up soon. Whoohoo!

They're all so pretty! I love the Easter eggers!
Thanks! I think they're lovely too. These guys aren't easter eggers though. They are sure enough ameraucanas. The cockerels are from the Gardner line and the pullets are from Cree Farms. I have four more babies from Pips&Peeps. The plan is start a breeding program in the spring. :)
Hey, city girl... I am another city babe living in the (conservative, male-dominated, nuts-and-bolts) country. I LOVE my access to the natural world, the stars in the night and the breath-taking array of critters with whom I share this world, but I'm having difficulty dealing with the closed minds, animal-unfriendly attitudes and lack of playfulness and fun. Have you felt any of these?
