Boy #3 is off to his new home on Saturday where he will get to be head roo of his own harem of girls. These five are keepers are will form the basis of my initial breeding stock.
They have the best personalities too. I find myself ending up in their pen just sitting and talking to them. Sweet Pea now always comes over and asks to be picked up. She settles down on my knee and "talks" to me. I love silkie mutterings anyway and she is just sweet beyond belief. The boys are learning to dance. They don't have it quite right though, so it kind of looks like an awkward hokey pokey. I laugh and laugh at their goofy selves. Pumpkin sat with me a bit this afternoon. It helps that I hold back some treats in my hand and they have figured that out. The fastest way to a chicken's heart is through treats! :)
