Spring is here!

Clearly it is as Fifi is broody again. She is currently sitting on 8 blue/black/splash ameraucana eggs. BLUE EGGS! Three weeks and we'll see what we've got. Until yesterday she was valiently trying to hatch out two plastic easter eggs. I'm thinking she has a better shot at the BBS eggs.

A lady I know tells the story of a yard near her childhood home that planted spring flowers into the words "Spring is here!". She said over time some of the flowers had died. Now it says "ping is he!". So now this time of year I walk around saying "Ping is He" in my head. Now you will too.
Near Mom and Dad's is a yard that spells out "hello" with grass... except the "o" is really hard to see. It always looks like they are cussing at all the people driving by.

The moral of today's lesson is to be really careful what you spell out with vegetation. Or to count down the days to BBS chicks. Whichever works for you.
