Perhaps this is why there are no eggs in the nest boxes...
Yup. That could explain it.
Note that kitty there is resting his head on the fake egg I snuck in the nest to trick the chickens into laying. No dice. We have sleepy kittens but no eggs.
Of course, part of the problem could be that there are chickens in the cat crate. We are perhaps a smidge confused.

There's a veggie stand down the street. I noticed they were overrun with kittens and requested a couple. These were the only two they could catch. The little B/W one drew blood when the guy grabbed him. The guy was even wearing leather gloves. You wouldn't know it now. He curls up in my lap as sweet as you please and purrs like crazy (the kitten, not the guy!).
Both of them fell asleep in my lap this evening. It was so sweet!

Adorable pictures. Your chickens are beautiful. I keep looking at them thinking "I need one of those, and one of those, and then one of those!" You are going to get me in major trouble with the DH come chick season!
